Seminar is amazing, I didn't think anything could be better than camp,
but I was wrong.
I loved the program. I' m so glad my first trip to Israel was with Ramah.
We did so many things that I could never have done with my family in Israel
and it has truly strengthened my connection with Israel.
Seminar enabled me to meet incredible people, as well it allowed me to
reflect upon my self, my values, my outlook on religion, Judaism, new resolutions,
and how I want to live my life.
After going to Camp Ramah for six years, this was the perfect way to end
it as a camper, and make a transition to being a counselor. It was an experience
that only Ramah could provide me with.
After being in Poland I appreciated being in Israel so much more.
It really was the summer of my life - one I will never forget. I really
grew as a person and Jew, and feel so much more connected to the Jewish
community and Israel.
The security issue was almost non-existent being here - nothing to worry
about.
I loved my staff. All of them were great role models, were responsive,
and taught us in different ways how to be madrichim.
Seminar is a good combination between Ramah and Israel. I learned more
than I ever anticipated.
Overall, it was the best summer of my life.
I'm leaving Seminar a different and better person. I feel a much stronger
connection to Israel, to its roots, and to Judaism.
What could have been better than being with 200 kids my age in Israel.
I have never been a very religious person and this summer has changed
my perspective on Judaism.
During the everyday routine of Seminar it is easy to get tired of waking
up, packing lunches, hiking, etc. - every day - but reflecting upon the
summer, you realize how much you did and it's an amazing feeling - you do
so much in six weeks.
Poland was eye-opening for me. I carried Poland throughout my heart as
I walked the steps of Israel.
Our staff was awesome! They never stopped caring or working to make our
experience here absolutely amazing.
Seminar was an entirely different experience than I first thought it would
be. It was so much more of a learning experience and much more of a religious
experience and that is what made it so special. I knew that I was going
to have tons of fun but this was just such an added perk.
Seminar brings Ramah's spiritual atmosphere to Israel. Therefore the atmosphere
is heightened. Daily prayers are the same, but being in Israel and praying
at sites and shuls just adds to it.
It is life-changing and necessary that everyone goes.
· Thanks to you and your staff for providing the seminar participants with
the most wonderful summer experience. This trip is one they will cherish
forever. ·
Whenever there was a question you responded immediately. It gave us a sense
of confidence that our son was in truly capable hands.
· This was a life changing, maturing and inspiring experience.
· You must be applauded for presenting Israel to this group of teenagers
in such a way as to create such excitement about the country.
· I was absolutely not nervous about security at all.
· This program is run so meticulously in every way, starting with the
mailings and meetings throughout the year, to the organized and sincerely
nice staff in Israel and New York, to the program itself which seemed to
know just what the kids would love.
· What a fabulous mix of land, people, ivrit, politics, history and of
course the friendships and just pure fun.
· Our daughter has gained a new love of the outdoors and a deep love of
Israel and being Jewish.
· Thank you for strengthening her connections, opening her eyes and mind
in new ways and encouraging fun too.
· By far, this will have been the most important and meaningful Jewish
experience they have had. This trip went way beyond all of our hopes and
expectations.
· Ramah is the BEST when it comes to them practicing and living Judaism
in a beautiful, natural, spiritual way.
· We are so grateful for the amount of thought you have put into planning
a trip that combined safety, exciting and fun experiences, and the thoughtful
way you presented issues and topics of discussion.
· I appreciated the daily e-mails, not only because I learned about where
he was and what he was doing, but also for the educational context for these
activities. The photos were a bonus.
· The seminar experience seems to have given our son what we all search
for, but teens especially seem to search for, and that is autonomy. What
a perfect way to discover who you are and the values that you hold.
· I have never worried for one moment that the staff's judgement would
not be impeccable.
· The daily updates were most welcome and informative. More often than
not, it brought tears to our eyes at the profound and unique experiences
you helped our children to have.
· Thank you for providing a wonderful environment of learning, exploring
and growing for our son. This has been a life changing experience for him
and will impact his future in many wonderful ways.
